Fic: Into Icaria, Chpt Eight  
 

Fic:  Into Icaria, CHAPTER EIGHT

Author:  Nakanna Lee (aka blink_in_blue)

Characters and Pairing:  Grant/Jason, Tango/Steve, Kris, Dustin, Carroll Heath (the medium from ep 2.13)

Rating:  R

Summary:  Grant learns what the thermal footage at Dr. Ellis’ house might mean in light of his own paranormal experiences.  When Steve is threatened during an investigation, Tango searches for ways to become more than just a bystander.

Disclaimer:  None of this is real and means no harm to anyone.

A/N:  Remember this?  I can’t find the Youtube clip of the reveal, but it was when Jay and Carroll Heath had the thermal completely whacked out.  That’s the plot bunny.  The fic consists of a prologue, nine chapters, and an epilogue, switching back and forth between Grant and Tango’s POVs.  I’ll post an update every day.  Total word count is 18,175.  Also, the funky set-up of some paragraphs is completely intentional.

PROLOGUE:  Grant is here again.

Chapter One:  Tango and Steve had just beaten everyone at office chair races. 

Chapter Two:  Grant had felt strangely light all evening.

Chapter Three:  It was one of Tango’s earliest memories of TAPS.

Chapter Four:  Don’t break anything, don’t lose anything.

Chapter Five:  How does Kris know Reiki?

Chapter Six:  Grant made additional promises when he returned home.

Chapter Seven:  Tango awoke still sprawled out on his bed.

 

Chapter Eight:  They’d planned on taking a handful of vacation days and driving down to Arkansas immediately.

    Tag Trauma...  
    Kay guys, so I've been noticing that this community has gotten mega-busy in the last couple of weeks.  This is a happy event, surely.  But I can't help thinking that we're going to need a uniform tagging system because the number of fics posted here is growing really quickly.  

    For example, we could tag by:

    Subject (Fanmix, Fic, Discussion, Icons, etc.)
    Rating (PG, PG-13, etc.)
    Author (Fic Author: presocratic)
    Genre (Slash, Het, Gen, Crack, etc.)
    Warnings (BDSM, etc.)
    Pairing, if any (Steve/Brian, Steve/Tango, Jay/Grant, etc .)

    Seriously, it would make navigating this comm so much easier!   I'm sure there are other helpful tags that aren't coming to mind right now, but anyway, this is just a suggestion.

    Reply with what you think about this.  I would be more than happy to go back and tag all previous entries if we decide to go this route.  (And I hope I'm not overstepping my boundaries - I'm definitely not a mod or anything like that.)

    Oh, this is simply yummy. We finally got pictures of just Will and Anna together.
    Will and Anna attended the German premiere of Prince Caspian yesterday near Munich in the mediavial castle Kaltenberg.

    Synopsis:  Jason realizes what he’s carrying with him and on some good advice attempts to shed it, only to realize there is something he can’t quite shake.

     

    *I was listening to an older podcast of Beyond Reality where Jason and Grant cop to knowing the kid from Paranormal State and while they didn’t say the show was shit, they kindly made one remark about ‘if Ryan claims to be haunted by a demon why does it take it into homes with vulnerable people?’  Anyway, so yea, I think the story is going there.  Anyone hear when BRR is coming back, I know they took a summer hiatus?

    Hey guys—I is back!  Public internet is the best thing ever!  However, it’s a good walk from my place and I’m spending all my time looking for a job so I might not be on everyday.  However, I had an interview yesterday for a job that I could afford to get Internet at home (more than twice what I was making before!!!!)  Soon I’ll be online all the friggin’ time…!
